Saturday, Sept. 19 — Pet Adoption Event at PetSmart Wolfchase — 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; PetSmart Wolfchase, 2805 Wolfcreek Parkway, Memphis. Meet adoptable MAS foster dogs and speak with foster families about each dog’s personality, routine and behavior in a home. Pets are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered. Sunday, Sept. 20 — Yard Sale for Dogs 2nd Chance — begins at 12:30 p.m.; 7710 Admiral Road, Millington. Shop furniture, home décor, clothing, toys, books and other donated items, with proceeds supporting medical care and placement for homeless dogs. Free admission; purchases benefit the rescue.
Thursday, Sept. 17–Wednesday, Sept. 23 — Animal Chats, Feedings and Shows — typical daily programming includes a Reptile Chat at 10 a.m.; Sea Lion Show at 11 a.m.; giraffe and gorilla keeper chats at 1:30 p.m.; rhino and polar bear programs at 2 p.m.; elephant chat at 2:30 p.m.; and aquarium and penguin programs around 3 p.m. Most programs are included with zoo admission.
